Ok, that's not true at all...I pretty much thrive on it.
But enough about that.
I'm currently ass planted in a high school stadium. I'm being a good parent, waiting patiently for our event to begin. Oh wait, what's that? They decide to start pumping music through the P.A. First song? Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll". You know Gary right? The child molester? Yeah, that one. Who programs this stuff? Second song? Guns and Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle". Multiple references to getting high in that one, amongst other bits of not necessarily "family activity". I'm loving it. The best yet may be Bruce Springsteen's "Glory Days"...a song about washed up High School A-Listers. I very nearly laughed out loud over that. (I vehemently refuse to ever "lol").
Please, gentle reader, don't get me wrong, I'm far from any sort of advocate for censorship of any kind...but geez, I reckon the times have changed. Well that, or maybe someone's having a good laugh about this. I'm a huge fan of that sort of subversive mischief, so I'm hoping that's what's up. I'd hate to think there's just stupid people running schools.
